The current Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) holiday is due to come to an end on 31st March 2021 after which date the normal SDLT will be applicable.

As a result of the SDLT holiday, there has been an unprecedented demand in property purchases and together with the impacts of Covid-19 across the whole conveyancing market and delays in Local Authorities providing search reports, this means that property transactions are now taking significantly longer to complete.

Whilst we will continue to do our utmost to ensure that your transaction is dealt with as quickly and smoothly as possible, there are often factors which are beyond our control which means that we cannot guarantee your transaction will complete before the SDLT holiday ends on 31st March 2021. We cannot therefore accept any liability for failure to do so.

If you have an expectation that your matter must complete before 31st March 2021 to benefit from the SDLT holiday, unfortunately we will be unable to accept your instruction at this time.
